Town and Culture

Groesbeek has 3 museums:

- The (Biblical) Open-air Museum at the Heilige-Landstichting (visit website)

The west side of Berg en Dal lies on the border of Nijmegen where another 16 museums are situated, including the Velorama (bicycle museum), the Valkhof and so on.

Nature and recreation

Berg en Dal and its surroundings form the ideal place for walking and cycling tours. Several tours start from the campsite or pass it, like the “Pieterpad”, the “Allerdaagse” or the “Vierdaagse” (4 Days Marches).
Within a range of 4 kilometers, nature reserve “De Bruuk” is situated. This is a marshland with rare plants. De natural scenery of the “Mookerheide” and the “Millingerwaard” are within biking distance.

The “Wijlerbergmeer” and the “Mookerplassen” (two lakes) are in the direct surroundings of the campsite. Furthermore, Groesbeek has its own indoor swimming pool “De Lubbert”. The golf course “Het rijk van Nijmegen” lies within walking distance of the campsite.
